Gas leak detection

We have designed a natural gas leak detection system in distribution areas, with constant monitoring of consumption in certain segments. In addition to the statutory obligation of the distributor for system supervision and dispatching center, the permissible losses prescribed by law in the gas grid amount to a maximum of 3%, and all losses above, negatively affect the financial aspect of the distributor.

The solution consists of separating the entire area into multiple segments and measuring gas consumption on each of the segments in real time with the ability to immediately determine large leaks in the distribution system, determining the likelihood of stealing gas by comparing the readings and the delivered quantity measured by the system. Determining sudden and unexpected leaks by comparing with anticipated consumption and by determining leakage of segments by comparing the readings of the metering points, the distribution area is being monitored  and precisely identifies the segment where the gas is unexpectedly coming out of the distribution network.
